Call Forward is an hour and a half long, durational performance investigating various modes of communication in today’s society and furthermore, their effect on the body. Three performers individually interpret a video containing moving shapes and colors through their various roles: musician, stenographer, mover. The performers come together at various moments through contact improvisation, giving the eyes a break from the screen and the body a moment to catch up with the mind. The document that the stenographer compiles is transported through the audience members to a designated area in the space. During the transportation, the audience has an opportunity to edit or annotate the document as they please.
